Photos show a 1990-1996 car; the process is the same for 1984-1989.

Step 1. Remove the driver's seat bottom cushion: push down on its front edge and release the clip underneath.

Step 2. Disconnect the seat's electrical and/or air connections and remove the 4 bolts (13mm) holding the seat pan to the tracks.

Step 3. With the seat out, remove the e-brake housing cover with a Phillips screwdriver.

Step 4. Slip the new cover over the e-brake handle and arm. The handle end is fully stitched; the arm section is open at the bottom so you can fine-tune the fit.

Step 5. Dab contact cement on the side of the plastic arm cover and inside the leather. Press together, pull apart, let both get tacky, then press firmly together.

Step 6. Glue the open section under the arm the same way, then reinstall the housing cover and seat.
Leather care: apply a leather conditioner with UV protection every 4-6 weeks to keep it from drying out and cracking.
