Ray Leyva's 1968 427 convertible spent twenty-seven years in a storage unit in Stockton, California. Engine, transmission, rear end, wiring, gauges, brakes, steering, interior — he's been through all of it, and the car is about to go down for paint. Frank LaVacca's 1990 convertible is one of 589 built in that shade, black top, chrome wheels, luggage rack across the deck. It's also one of the last Corvettes to leave Bowling Green with round taillights, and there's a reason for that.

It's his third Corvette, and the two that came before it link straight back to the year the Grand Sport name was born. The full story, plus the trophy count.
