C8 Corvette NoviStretch™ Front End Mask Cover and Mirror Cover Bundle
This bundle pairs the C8 Corvette NoviStretch™ Front End Mask Cover with a set of NoviStretch™ Mirror Covers, so the front of your car and both mirror housings are protected in one purchase. Both use the same perforated stretch-mesh fabric, which lets air and water pass through rather than collecting against the clear coat, and both go on and come off without cutting, drilling or any permanent change to the car.
Fitment
- Fits 2020 and newer C8 Corvettes, including the Stingray, Z06, E-Ray, ZR1, ZR1X and 2027 Grand Sport, in any trim
- The mask works with the ground effects and aero packages, including Z51, 5VM, Z07 and ZTK
- The mask stretches over dive planes and front splitters. Some owners prefer to let it sit on top of the ground effects instead, which works too
- Fits coupes and convertibles
What comes in the box
- The C8 Corvette NoviStretch™ Front End Mask Cover
- A pair of C8 Corvette NoviStretch™ Mirror Covers, one for each side
- Hardware kit with nine snap-head screw studs for the mask
- Installation instructions and warranty information
For the mask you will need a #15 and a #20 Torx wrench, and a tar and grease remover to clean the bumper and fender wells first.
Installing the mask
The first install takes about 15 minutes. You swap nine factory screws for the supplied snap-head studs, four inside each fender liner and one on the bottom of the bumper, then stretch the mask across the front and snap it onto them. The top corners clip into the bump-stop wells inside the frunk. After that one-time setup, the mask goes on and comes off in under a minute.
Full step-by-step instructions are here. Two things worth knowing before you start: the top edge of the mask has to stay clear of the frunk latch so the hood closes fully, and the tension you feel when stretching the mask across the bumper is normal and part of how it holds.
A front license plate can be mounted over the mask. The screw holes will not run the fabric, and thumbscrews make the plate easier to pull off.
Installing the mirror covers
The covers stretch over the mirror housings and need no tools. The C8's housings are not symmetrical, so the two covers are shaped differently and are not interchangeable. Check which side you are holding before you fit it.
Good to know before you order
- Front parking cameras. The mask covers the C8's Forward View Parking cameras while it is installed. Take it off before you rely on that system.
- Low ground clearance. If your car sits at 5" or less because of splitters or ground effects, watch for parking blocks, curbs and steep driveways. Contact with those can tear the mask.
- Track use. These were built for street and highway driving. Owners have run the mask at track events with good results, though the debris and speeds out there wear it faster, and NoviStretch does not guarantee how it performs on track.
Airflow and operating temperatures
The mask does reduce airflow somewhat, and you may see a small rise in temperatures, more so in heavy rain. Working with manufacturers, dealers and thousands of owners, NoviStretch has found those temperatures stay inside the acceptable range and never climb to the point of overheating. They have run the mask on Z06 and ZR1 Corvettes and on other high-horsepower cars built to force as much air into the engine as possible, including long stretches in extreme conditions, without a reported problem.
Because the mesh is perforated rather than solid, it covers the full front end and shields the grilles, radiators and heat exchangers instead of leaving them open to debris.
Care
Rinse the mask and covers with water to clear dirt and debris, squeeze them out and let them air dry. Hand wash only when they need it, using a concentrated soap solution on the dirty areas. No bleach, no fabric softener, no clothes dryer. Make sure the paint underneath is clean and free of sand and grit before you install anything, and take the mask and covers off before a pressure washer or an automatic car wash.
