Fan Friday: Brian Savoy's 2024 Hypersonic Gray C8 Stingray & 2026 Hysteria Purple Z06

Brian Savoy didn't just earn these two Corvettes. He worked for them in a way most people never have to — and the story behind them is one of the most genuinely inspiring we've ever received.

In 2020, Brian was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. His A1C was 11, his blood pressure was high, and he was carrying 324 pounds. Rather than accept a lifetime of prescription management, he made a decision to take his health back through diet alone — cutting all sugar, sodas, and processed foods. Three months later, he was down 30 pounds and his A1C had dropped to 7. Three months after that, another 30 pounds gone and his A1C at 4.9 — no longer diabetic. Blood pressure normalized to 123/68. Off blood pressure medication. Off his CPAP. Thirty-one more pounds followed, for a total of 91 pounds lost in roughly nine months. Size 44 pants gave way to 34s. 2X shirts became larges. He's held that weight for four years. And then, finally, something he mentioned almost in passing: he could fit comfortably in a Corvette.

So he bought one. A 2024 C8 Stingray in Hypersonic Gray, Z51 package — and it was everything he'd been working toward. It was also, as it turned out, just the beginning.

When the 2026 model year arrived with a redesigned interior, Brian couldn't help himself. He connected with Rick Conti — a Corvette salesman with more than 30 years of exclusive Corvette experience and a well-known YouTube channel, Coffee with Conti — and together they designed a 2026 Z06 in Hysteria Purple Metallic. Hysteria Purple is one of the more visually complex colors in the C8 lineup: a deep, rich metallic that shifts between blue and purple depending on the light, and looks entirely different on a cloudy day versus a sunny one. Brian picked it up at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky on March 24th — a Museum Delivery experience he calls unlike anything else. Rick made a video of the delivery for his YouTube channel. It's the kind of memory, Brian says, he'll be able to share for generations.

Both cars now live in a purpose-built garage that's as impressive as the Corvettes themselves — epoxy flake floors, high ceilings, and a Corvette crossed flags neon sign on the wall that sets the tone the moment you walk in. The Hypersonic Gray Stingray and the Hysteria Purple Z06 side by side is a combination that speaks for itself. As for what's next — Brian's already thinking about the C9. 🏎️

For Brian's C8 Duo

C8 Corvette Neon Sign With Backing — $459.99 — Brian's garage already has the crossed flags neon on the wall, and it makes the whole space. If you're building your own Corvette sanctuary, this is the piece that pulls it together — hand-blown red, white, and blue neon tubing backed by a full-color C8 image, on a black metal grid, 24" x 24". Hangs on a wall, sits on a shelf, plugs right into a standard outlet. Garages, man caves, shops — it works everywhere. → Shop C8 Neon Sign

C8 Z06 Aluminum Engine Builder Plaque (Anodized) — $159.98 — The LT6 in Brian's Z06 was hand-assembled by a single craftsman in Bowling Green — the same city where he picked it up. The factory plastic builder plaque doesn't do that story justice. Our anodized aluminum replacement is available in multiple finishes and installs in minutes. → Shop Z06 Engine Builder Plaque

C8 2020–2026 Footwell LED Lighting Kit — $52.95 — A custom garage this clean deserves an interior to match when the doors open. The footwell LED kit adds ambient lighting to both C8 cabins — an easy upgrade that looks right at home in a build this intentional. → Shop C8 LED Footwell Kit
