Quail Silver Corvette ZR1X: Chevrolet Quietly Opens Early Dealer Allocations

Quail Silver Corvette ZR1X: Chevrolet Quietly Opens Early Dealer Allocations

Corvette enthusiasts know that some of the most exciting news doesn’t always arrive through official press releases. That appears to be the case with the Quail Silver Corvette ZR1X, one of the most exclusive versions of Chevrolet’s upcoming 2026 hypercar.

Sometimes it comes through dealer channels — and that’s exactly what’s happening with the first Quail Silver Limited Edition 2026 Corvette ZR1X models.

According to reporting from Corvette blogs and dealer sources, Chevrolet has quietly begun offering limited “super-secret” allocations for the first examples of this ultra-exclusive Corvette.

For collectors and performance enthusiasts alike, this could be one of the most sought-after Corvettes of the C8 era.

What Is the Quail Silver Corvette ZR1X?

The Quail Silver Limited Edition is a special version of the upcoming 2026 Corvette ZR1X, the most advanced and powerful Corvette ever built.

At its core, the ZR1X combines:

  • A twin-turbocharged LT7 V8 powering the rear wheels

  • An electric front axle drive unit

  • 1,250 combined horsepower

  • A claimed 0–60 mph time of under two seconds

That hybrid powertrain puts the Corvette squarely in hypercar territory, competing with vehicles that cost several times more. It’s the next step in Corvette’s performance evolution following models like the C8 Z06 and the hybrid Corvette E-Ray.

A Tribute to Classic Corvette Silver

The Quail Silver edition draws inspiration from the Inca Silver color used on late-1950s C1 Corvettes. The modern interpretation is called Blade Silver Matte, marking the first factory matte Corvette paint finish since the 1960s.

Other signature features of the Quail Silver ZR1X include:

  • Orange painted brake calipers

  • Carbon Flash painted mirrors

  • Black exhaust tips

  • A Sky Cool & Medium Ash Gray interior with Habanero accents

  • Limited-edition numbered interior plaque

The package is offered exclusively on the ZR1X 3LZ convertible, making it one of the most exclusive Corvettes Chevrolet has ever produced.

Limited Production for a True Collector Car

Chevrolet has not disclosed production numbers for the Quail Silver Limited Edition. However, the model is expected to be extremely limited due to its exclusive configuration and special edition status.

Each car features a numbered interior plaque identifying it as part of the Quail Silver Limited Edition, reinforcing its collectible status.

With the Corvette already pushing performance into new territory for American sports cars — the limited Quail Silver edition could become one of the most desirable modern Corvettes.

Which Dealers Received Early Allocations?

The initial dealer allocations for the Quail Silver ZR1X reportedly went to a small group of high-volume Corvette dealerships:

  • MacMulkin Corvette (New Hampshire)

  • Ciocca Corvette of Atlantic City

  • Les Stanford Chevrolet (Michigan)

  • Don Mealey Chevrolet (Florida)

  • Bomnin Chevrolet Dadeland (Florida)

  • Bomnin Chevrolet West Kendall (Florida)

These dealers are known within the Corvette community for handling some of the largest Corvette sales volumes in the country.

The “ZORA” Easter Egg

There’s also speculation among Corvette insiders that Chevrolet may be hinting at something even bigger.

GM has reportedly filed trademarks for the name “ZORA,” which many enthusiasts believe could be connected to a future ultimate Corvette model above the ZR1X, though Chevrolet has not confirmed any such plans.

While nothing has been confirmed, the rumor mill is already spinning.

Pricing for the Quail Silver ZR1X

The 2026 Corvette ZR1X lineup starts at $207,395, while the Quail Silver Limited Edition carries an MSRP of $243,390 including destination, according to Chevrolet.

Considering the performance levels — and the rarity of the edition — many collectors expect these cars to command significant premiums.

Model MSRP (includes $1,995 destination)
ZR1X 1LZ Coupe $207,395
ZR1X 1LZ Convertible $217,395
ZR1X 3LZ Coupe $218,395
ZR1X 3LZ Convertible $228,395

Corvette Performance Has Entered the Hypercar Era

The C8 platform has pushed Corvette performance further than ever before.

Between the hybrid E-Ray, the track-focused Z06, the twin-turbo ZR1, and now the electrified ZR1X, Corvette continues to challenge the world’s most expensive supercars — often at a fraction of the price.

And the Quail Silver Corvette ZR1X Limited Edition proves that Chevrolet still knows how to build a collectible Corvette when the moment calls for it.
