Which Coverking Cover Is Right for Your Corvette?
Coverking is one of the most respected names in vehicle protection — and for good reason. Every cover in their lineup is custom-tailored to your exact vehicle using CAD/CAM technology, meaning it hugs every curve, mirror pocket, and antenna with a fit that no universal cover can match. They use the fewest seams possible (extra seams = extra leak points), and all outdoor covers are sewn with double-needle, wax-coated thread for maximum weather resistance.
But Coverking makes covers in several different fabrics — and each one is engineered for a different purpose. The wrong fabric isn't going to ruin your car, but the right one will do a noticeably better job. Here's how to think through it.
Every cover here fits every Corvette — C1 through C8, every year, every trim. This is about matching the fabric to how and where you park.
Indoor Covers
If Your Corvette Lives in the Garage
Indoor covers don't need to handle rain or UV — but that doesn't mean they do nothing. Dust accumulation causes micro-scratches over time. Kids' bikes, errant tools, and just brushing past a parked car create dings and abrasions. And a cover that fits loosely will move around and do exactly what you're trying to prevent. Indoor covers are also where aesthetics come into play — if you're looking at your Corvette in the garage, the cover might as well look good.
Satin Stretch
This is Coverking's signature indoor cover — and it's genuinely in a different category than anything else on this list. The Satin Stretch is made from a nylon-satin and Lycra blend (think of high-end lingerie fabric, engineered for cars) with a soft fleece inner lining that is genuinely gentle on your paint. It stretches in all directions, so it follows every contour of your Corvette without sagging or wrinkling. The result looks like a tailored garment, not a cover.
It protects against dust, dirt, minor dings, and scratches. It's fully breathable, so heat and moisture won't build up underneath. What it doesn't do is handle rain or UV — it's strictly for indoor use, and will fade in direct sun. But if your car lives in a garage and you want the most elegant, form-fitting, paint-pampering cover available, this is it.
Available in Solid or Two-Tone: The two-tone version adds a contrasting black side panel — great for a sportier look or to coordinate with your Corvette's color scheme.
Outdoor & All-Weather Covers
If Your Corvette Faces the Elements
Outdoor covers need to handle whatever nature throws at them — rain, UV, bird droppings, tree sap, dust, and in some cases hail. The right choice here depends heavily on your local climate and how serious the conditions get. There's a spectrum from light-duty to heavy-duty, and each fabric occupies a specific place on it.
Triguard
The Triguard is Coverking's lightest outdoor option — a three-layer fabric that handles dust, dirt, bird droppings, light water, and mild UV exposure. It's thin, compact, and easy to handle, which makes it ideal for people who put a cover on frequently. The tradeoff is that it doesn't belong in harsh weather. Heavy rain, serious sun, or areas with industrial fallout (acid rain) are beyond its rating.
It's a solid choice if your Corvette sits under a carport or awning most of the time, or if you're in a mild climate and mostly protecting against dust and debris rather than full weather exposure.
Carport or shaded parking. Mild climates. Owners who cover frequently and want easy handling. Not for heavy rain, prolonged sun, or harsh winter conditions.
Silverguard
The Silverguard is the go-to cover for Corvette owners in consistently sunny climates — the Southwest, California, Florida, anywhere UV is the primary threat. Its 300 denier polyester base is coated with a reflective silver finish that actively deflects sunlight rather than just absorbing it. That means your paint and interior stay cooler and protected from fading, even in intense summer heat.
It handles light rain and general weather competently, but it's not built for prolonged downpours or serious storms. If your biggest concern is the sun cooking your paint and interior, this is the right fabric. If you're in a genuinely rainy or wintry climate, look at the Stormproof or Mosom Plus instead.
Hot, sunny climates (Southwest, Southeast, California). Owners whose primary concern is UV damage and paint fading rather than heavy rain or snow.
Stormproof
The Stormproof is one of Coverking's most engineered fabrics — and it's easy to see why once you understand how it works. Most waterproof car cover materials get their water resistance from a chemical coating or laminate. Those coatings wear off. The Stormproof achieves its water resistance through the weave itself: microscopic fibers woven so densely that air passes through freely, but water molecules physically cannot. No coating to wear off. No treatment to degrade. The same water resistance on day one as on day one thousand.
It was developed in-house by Coverking after a two-year search for a textile mill capable of achieving the required weave density. The result is a cover that handles rain, snow, dust, UV, and pollutants — making it genuinely useful in almost any climate. It's also lighter than multi-layer covers like the Mosom Plus, which makes it easier to handle.
Available in Solid or Two-Tone: Same great fabric, different look. The two-tone option pairs your color choice with black sides — a sharp, sporty aesthetic that works well on most Corvette generations.
Mosom Plus
The Mosom Plus is a five-layer all-weather cover built for serious outdoor conditions and extended storage use. Its layered construction includes a rain barrier middle layer that sheds water effectively, with a soft cotton-flock inner liner that's gentle on delicate paint finishes. It's one of the heavier covers in the lineup, which means it provides cushioning protection against dings and light hail in addition to weather resistance.
It's an excellent choice for Corvette owners in rainy climates who are storing their car for a season or longer. Worth noting: the Mosom Plus is a non-woven material in key layers, so if a rip does occur, it won't run like a woven fabric would.
Rainy climates. Long-term outdoor storage. Owners who want maximum all-around protection and aren't removing the cover daily.
CoverBond 4
The CoverBond 4 is built around one specific strength that most covers don't offer: physical protection from impacts. Its four-layer construction is thick and cushioned enough to absorb minor dings, nicks, and even light hail — a real advantage for Corvette owners who share a garage with kids, bikes, or a second car with a careless driver. The soft ultra-plush inner lining is gentle on paint.
It handles weather competently and works both indoors and outdoors. Its main limitation is bulk — it's heavy and thick, which makes it better suited to storage situations than daily covering and uncovering. If you're parking in a busy garage and dings are the threat, this is your cover.
Busy garages, storage situations where physical impact is a concern. Not ideal for daily drivers who put the cover on and off frequently.
Autobody Armor
The Autobody Armor is Coverking's answer to the question they kept hearing from customers: "Can I get the fit of the Satin Stretch but for outdoor use?" The result is a laminated three-layer fabric combining polyester, Lycra, and a microporous film — giving it the form-hugging stretch of the Satin Stretch and the water repellence of the Stormproof in a single cover.
It's the most versatile option in the lineup for owners who move their Corvette between indoor and outdoor environments, or simply want one cover that handles everything without compromise. It comes with Coverking's longest warranty — five years — and features a soft inner liner that won't mark your paint. If you want the most capable cover available without choosing between fit and weather protection, this is it.
Owners who move between indoor and outdoor storage. Those who want the closest-fitting outdoor cover available. Anyone who wants a single cover to handle everything.
Quick Comparison at a Glance

A Note on Solid vs. Two-Tone
The Stormproof and Satin Stretch each come in solid and two-tone configurations. The fabric and performance are identical — the difference is purely aesthetic. Two-tone covers feature your chosen color on the top with a contrasting black panel on the sides, giving the cover a more styled, intentional look. It's a personal preference call, and both options come in a wide range of colors to coordinate with your Corvette.
The One Thing Every Cover Has in Common
Whatever fabric you choose, every Coverking cover is built the same way: custom-patterned to your exact Corvette using 3D scanning data, cut with CAD/CAM precision to minimize seams, and sewn with double-needle construction using wax-coated thread on outdoor models. The fit will be noticeably better than any universal cover — and that fit is what makes the protection actually work.
