Carbon Fiber Buying Tips

Real vs. Vinyl Carbon Fiber: Carbonaddons products use real woven carbon fiber — these are molded parts, not films applied over plastic. American Car Craft uses colored carbon fiber vinyl inlay set into stainless steel — a different (and equally durable) construction. Both are long-lasting; real carbon fiber parts have a slightly deeper 3D texture, while ACC's inlay pieces offer more color variety.

Transmission fitment matters: ACC fluid cap cover sets come in Manual (6 pc) or Automatic (5 pc) versions — make sure you select the right one. The automatic transmission omits the clutch fluid cap.

C7 Grand Sport note: Carbonaddons' C7 Center Console Cover is NOT compatible with Grand Sport models due to a different emblem shape on the console lid.

Key fob signal: Real carbon fiber key fob covers (Carbonaddons C7 and C8 versions) may partially reduce key fob signal range due to the carbon fiber's metallic properties — this is disclosed on the product page and is a known characteristic of real carbon fiber.

Z06 vs. Stingray mud guards: The C7 Z06 uses a wider front fascia than the Stingray and Z51 — mud guards are NOT interchangeable between these trims. American Car Craft offers separate SKUs (052092 for Z06, 052024 for Stingray/Z51).
