Fan Friday: 2002 Torch Red Corvette Convertible – Scott Swisher’s Dream Ride

Welcome to this week’s CorvetteStoreOnline.com Fan Friday! Scott Swisher, a lifetime Corvette lover, became a first-time owner of a 2002 Torch Red Corvette convertible, and it’s everything he dreamed of. After years of admiration, he found the car he’d been searching for—low mileage, excellent shape, and just the right fit.

It may not be a rare edition, but it’s exactly what Scott wanted, and he didn’t have to search long to find it. On his very first attempt, he found the perfect car.

Scott’s upgrades to the car have been tasteful and purposeful. He swapped the wheels for the later style Z06 C7 wheels and added Z06 sway bars for better handling. Inside, he upgraded the seats with new base foam and burlap to cover the springs. The car already came with a Borla exhaust, but Scott added a Z06 intake filter cover and fuel rail covers to give the engine bay a bit more flair.

In addition to his personal touch on the car, Scott has been taking it on parade duty for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, where he’s had the honor of driving two NFL greats in the past two years. It’s been a fun and unforgettable experience for him.

The Corvette shares space in his shop with a 1985 FIero 2M6 SE that Scott bought new and customized. While he still shows the FIero, the Corvette is the road-trip king and brings him endless joy on the open road.

If you have a Corvette story like Scott’s, we’d love to hear it! Send photos of your Corvette and every detail you want to share to info@carolinaonlineretail.com, you might just be featured next.
