Fan Friday: Donna Booth's 2000 C5 Corvette
Some Corvettes are meant to be admired. Others are meant to be driven and loved. Donna Booth’s 2000 C5 Corvette is a shining example of both — a striking red icon parked under the southern sun, capturing all the right kind of attention.
This fifth-generation Corvette perfectly showcases the sleek, sculpted design that defined the C5 era. Painted in a beautiful red, a signature Corvette color, Donna’s C5 is a head-turner — classic, clean, and unmistakably bold. The polished factory five-spoke wheels and matching body-colored mirrors maintain that timeless Corvette silhouette, a look that never goes out of style.
The 2000 model year brought subtle but meaningful refinements to the C5 platform. While staying true to the performance legacy, Chevrolet continued improving the comfort and driving experience:
-
Equipped with the legendary LS1 5.7L V8 engine, producing 345 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque.
-
Enhanced ride and handling dynamics, thanks to the independent suspension and rigid hydroformed frame.
-
Optional Active Handling System introduced that year, improving stability and safety for spirited driving.
-
Improved interior ergonomics, with better seat support and standard features across trims.
If one thing is clear from these photos: her 2000 C5 is cared for and loved. Whether it’s cruising the backroads or simply gleaming in the driveway, this Corvette radiates pride and personality.
From its vivid paint to its classic lines, this C5 represents everything Corvette stands for — performance, beauty, and passion.

I have never seen a c5 with external head lights. Was this an after market product to make it look like a c6?
