    Corvette Sub-Brand EV SUV & Four-Door Expected in 2025 | CorvetteStoreOnline.com

    Corvette Sub-Brand EV SUV & Four-Door Expected in 2025 | CorvetteStoreOnline.com

There’s big news brewing in Detroit!  The next era for the Corvette is on the horizon as "America’s Sports Car" looks to become America’s Sports Car Sub-brand.  For decades the Corvette’s legacy has been defined by a vehicle itself, not necessarily its Chevrolet lineage.  In 2025 reports indicate that’s all about to change as the Corvette namesake is expected to transcend from not just a Chevrolet vehicle, but its own sub-brand featuring electric SUVs and four-door vehicles.

The move to a line of Corvette-branded models brings Chevrolet’s most illustrious name more in line with the likes of fellow renowned sports car brands such as Ferrari, BMW, and Lamborghini who all offer their own luxury-sport SUVs and cross over vehicles.  The move also brings the C8 Corvette Stingray & Z06 one step closer to long-rumored electrification.

You might be asking what this means, and what it means for the future of the Corvette you’ve come to know and love. Make no mistake - the new vehicles coming in 2025 won’t be SUVs branded as model variations of the Corvette they’ll simply be a Corvette-brand vehicle of their own namesake.  The idea is to offer the same power and performance you'd find in the parent Chevrolet Corvette in these unnamed vehicles without tarnishing the legacy of an icon.  Simply put, just as Chevrolet is to Corvette, Corvette will soon be to the new unnamed models.

While it’s understandable that this dramatic direction shift in the Corvette timeline might cause some concern for long time owners on the surface, there’s nothing to worry about - the traditional Stingray, Z06 and accompanying Corvette models aren’t going anywhere – the classic Chevrolet Corvette will continue to hold its reign as “America’s Sports Car.”

Reports from a recently posted article by Car and Driver indicate that the new electric vehicles will feature “[a] mechanical package apparently [including] battery packs with high energy density, superfast software, a patented cooling concept, staggered Lego-like topographic packaging, miniaturized componentry, ultra-efficient inverters, high-revving electric motors, an 800-volt electrical system that provides up to 350 kW of charging power, a two-speed transmission, brake-by-wire, multi-mode four-wheel steering, and torque vectoring.” The article also states that initial proposals for the new Corvette branded vehicles are being revered as "copies of nothing" and "encapsulated emotional purity.”  Given recent failed attempts by competitor rebrands, this news is certainly a welcome development!

No official announcements have been made by GM and no timeline for a reveal has been made available as of the posting of this blog, but the excitement behind this expected news is palpable.  The future of the Corvette brand is bright and opens the door to infinite future innovation possibilities.

    Corvette Targa Tops | CorvetteStoreOnline.com

    Corvette Targa Tops | CorvetteStoreOnline.com

If you are looking for a replacement Targa Top for your Corvette, we've got the replacement you've been looking for!  We offer fully assembled bolt-on Targa Tops for generations C4-C8, ready to be installed right out of the box helping you seamlessly replace the OEM factory original.

Corvette Targa Tops are a removable roof panel over the front seats, which opens the vehicle to the outside air and surrounding environment while leaving most of the vehicle's roof structure and rear window glass in place. It is a unique alternative that delivers the open-air experience without compromising the performance or driving experience.

The Targa Roof Panel can be easily attached or removed in seconds for added versatility, comfort and performance adjustments. These high demand Targa Tops come in Transparent or Paintable Fiberglass so you can choose which option works best for your driving style.  If you're a C7 or C8 owner, you might want to give the real Carbon Fiber top some consideration if you're looking to add a little style to your 'Vette.

     Carbon Fiber Roof

For many drivers, their vehicle came with the default solid painted Fiberglass roof panel.  These solid roofs help to reduce interior temperatures on hot days in addition to added protection from harmful UV rays from both you and Corvette's your interior and upholstery.  Needless to say this can be very comfortable for drivers who have sensitive skin or who suffer from headaches when exposed to sunlight.

If you're not terribly concerned about a small transmittance of UV Rays or higher heat, the Transparent Top is a great choice.  Transparent - tinted tops offer a more spacious view of the world around you - not to mention your cabin will feel like its doubled in space!  While you might be sacrificing some of the comforts a fiberglass top can provide, you'll enjoy a similar driving experience to that of a convertible Corvette, top down, without actually having to own one!

     Transparent Roof

Regardless of what Targa Top suits your needs, everyone can agree they need a place to store it!  Fear not - we've got you covered.  Keep your top safe when not in use by storing it with the new polyurethane storage stands and wall mounted roof racks.

Targa Tops typically take less than 24 hours to ship and are always available!  If you're still on the fence, please don't hesitate to send us an email or give us a call, we'll be more than happy to help you find the top you need!

    2022 30th Annual VetteFest - Gallery | CorvetteStoreOnline.com

    2022 30th Annual VetteFest - Gallery | CorvetteStoreOnline.com

(Queensbury, NY) - It was a big weekend for the Northeastern Corvette community as the annual Adirondack VetteFest 2022 was held in Queensbury, New York September 9-11 with hundreds of Corvettes and their enthusiastic owners represented.

The VetteFest Corvette Car Show is an annual Adirondack tradition held by the Adirondack Corvette Club, with this years' 30th Anniversary Edition hosted at the Queensbury Hotel.  Entrants were treated to banquets, live music and entertainment, events, awards and and beautiful Corvettes from all across the Northeast.  The weekend's events kicked off on Friday evening at the Queensbury Hotel with an entrant Registration & Reception event complete with hors d'oeuvres and a cocktail hour.  Entrants were encouraged to spend the remainder of the evening exploring the surrounding area, and/or watch a Hot Rod Cruise in the nearby village of Lake George.

The action really kicked into high gear on Saturday and was highlighted by a group road trip of 54 Corvettes that traveled from Glens Falls, New York to the Sacandaga Reservoir.  The tour of 54 made stops at the renowned Lanzi's on the Lake and infamous Jack Gillette Corvette collection in Saratoga Springs, NY where they toured his astounding collection of over 60 Corvettes!  After the trek back to Queensbury all participants were invited to a VetteFest Banquet that featured live music and dancing until nearly midnight!

The weekend culminated with Sunday's all Corvette "Shine and Show" Car Show which included over 100 paid entrants from New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Canada in addition to members of the Adirondack Corvette Club.  The day was filled with giveaways, raffles, award presentations, food and live music all highlighted by well over 150 Corvettes in total lining Maple Street just a stone's throw away from the Queensbury Hotel.

According to Adirondack Corvette Club member Dave Price, the weekend was an incredible success.  While all Corvette years and generations were well represented, Dave tells us that C1, C2 and C3 Corvette pride was on display in full force with the majority of the weekend's entrants coming from these earlier Corvette Generations.  In total, Dave estimates over 400 people came to celebrate America's Sports Car - a number we all hope to see continue grow over the coming years.  If you want to be a part of all the Adirondack Corvette action next year, we recommend keeping your eye on the Official Adirondack Corvettes website for more information.

While we hate that we couldn't be at VetteFest 2022, we hope to make an appearance at this tremendous show in 2023.  CorvetteStoreOnline.com is thrilled and honored to have had the opportunity to partner and showcase the Adirondack Corvette Club's 30th annual VetteFest and looks forward to seeing all the great Corvettes and their owners in 2023!
